Teresa Lynne Kruger, a faithful loving wife of 38+ years, a loving mother of 33+ years, and a faithful servant to her Lord, departed this life on the Lord's Day 30 April 2023 to be with her heavenly Father.
Teresa was born on 29 September 1961, was raised in Denmark and Bamberg, South Carolina, served as a volunteer with the Bamberg County EMS services, secured a two-year technical certificate from the Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College in Orangeburg, South Carolina, and landed her first job in respiratory therapy at the Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Teresa married Robert Kruger on December 22, 1984, providing direct support of her husband's service as a United States Marine for 16 years, to include service to the Unted States Marine Corps as a Key Wife Coordinator for Marines serving abroad. Her devoted support of her husband continued as he transitioned out of the Marine Corps into full-time ministry.
Her faithfulness to God, her husband, and her children continued until January 2022, at which time she was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. Teresa departed to glory after a battle with colon and liver cancer. According to her husband and many others, she emulated God's picture of a God-fearing woman described in Proverbs 31. She also characterized the description given by the apostle Paul, presenting her body as a living sacrifice to God in service to others (Romans 12:1). Her loving service included teaching all age groups in the church, playing the piano for worship services within the church as well as at nursing homes in support of her husband's calling to full-time ministry. The hallmark or legacy of her life is reflected in Proverbs 31:30-31, "Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her the product of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates."
Teresa leaves her mother (Maggie Ann Hutto Way), brother (James A. Way and wife Jenny), husband (Robert Kruger), daughter (Kim Kruger and Fiance' Chad Aiken), son (Brad Kruger and wife Sarah), 2 granddaughters (Alyssa Grace Annis and Kennedy Aiken (daughters of Kim Kruger)) to carry on the family legacy of honoring God with their lives.
Funeral services for Teresa will be held on Friday, 5 May 2023 at Blue Creek Baptist Church (1251 Burgaw Highway, Jacksonville, NC 28540). Visitation is from 10:00 AM to 1045 AM. The memorial service will be facilitated by Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville, NC () and will begin at 11:00 AM with Dr Wesley Smith presiding.

Dearest Bob & Family,
We offer our deepest Christian sympathy and will be bathing you in our prayers. We thank God for her life well-lived. More importantly as in Hebrews 6, God is faithful to her labors of love and ministry to the saints. Together with Teresa you made a difference for internity while a pastor at Centerview. Every church you served got a "two-for" one blessing with you and Teresa. We mourn with you and rejoice that she is eternally in Christ's loving hands. Pastor Mike & Diane & Your Centerview Family.
