Teresa Ann May

Teresa Ann (Sease) May, age 65, of York, passed away unexpectedly on August 12, 2022, at UPMC Harrisburg. She was the loving wife of Mark A. May; they shared 31 years together, 21 years of which they were married.
Teresa was born in York on February 18, 1957. She was the daughter of Shirley (Smith) Sease, and the late Joseph M. Sease Jr. She graduated from William Penn Senior High School class of 1975. She worked as a health unit coordinator for UPMC Memorial and held various positions at Memorial Hospital throughout her 46 years of service. During her time at the hospital she touched the lives of many coworkers, and with her gentle spirit she helped comfort patients and their families. She loved caring for others and cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her generous heart welcomed many people into her life and she ensured that every child who crossed her threshold knew they were loved. Teresa also enjoyed spending time with her husband at their cabin, and hosting family and friends. She loved flowers, dragonflies, and going to the beach.
In addition to her husband and mother, Teresa is survived by her daughter Renee Potts and husband Michael; her step-daughter Jessica Schell and husband Josh; her grandchildren Michaela, Mariah, Jeremy, and JJ; and one great-grandchild on the way. She is also survived by her brother Jeffrey Sease and wife Lisa; her sister Jo Sease; father-in-law Jerry May; mother-in-law Brenda Blevins, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Joseph E. Sease; and her sisters Roxanne Culp and Vicki Stambaugh.
A Memorial Service in celebration of Teresa's life will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 6:00PM at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of East York, 3670 E. Market St., York PA 17402. The family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00PM – 6:00PM on Friday at the funeral home.
