Teresa Marie Todd Ortiz, 52, of Van, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 7, 2025, in Van. Born in Tyler, Texas, on July 30, 1973, Teresa was a vibrant soul who made Van her home for the last 20 years.
A devoted Christian, Teresa lived a life filled with joy and creativity. She had a deep love for arts and crafts, and those who knew her will remember her energetic spirit as she loved to sing and dance. Her warmth and enthusiasm brightened the lives of her family and friends.
Teresa was preceded in death by her loving parents, J.D. Todd and Mary Elizabeth Munoz, as well as many siblings who welcomed her home.
She leaves behind a legacy of love carried on by her five children: Rickey Parga (Serenthia) of Tyler, Adrian Parga (Betty) of Tyler, Carina Zarate (Hector) of Canton, Ougo Ortez (Katy) of Lindale, and Gustavo Ortiz of Tyler. Teresa was also a cherished sister to Samantha Martinez (Miguel) of Van, Manuel Munoz (Robin) of Van, and Crystal Munoz of Tyler. Her memory will be especially treasured by her fourteen beloved grandchildren.
