She was born on August 26, 1960, in Kennett, Missouri. Teresa brought joy and love to all who knew her throughout her 62 years of life.
Teresa was born to Norma Lou and Donald Lee Stevens Sr. and grew up in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She later moved to Coweta, Oklahoma, where she attended Coweta High School. Teresa continued her education at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Arts and Education. This accomplishment set the stage for her lifelong passion for teaching and helping others.
In 1979, Teresa married the love of her life, Douglas Stack, in Coweta, Oklahoma. Together, they built a beautiful life and family, raising two daughters, Kristi and Candice. Teresa's love for her family was evident in everything she did, and she cherished every moment spent with her beloved granddaughter, Felicity.
Teresa dedicated 23 years of her life to teaching at Coweta Public Schools, where she taught 4th and 8th grade. Her commitment to education and her students left a lasting impact on the lives of many young people in her community. Even after retiring in 2012, Teresa continued to be involved in various programs and activities that supported children and their families.
Teresa was a faithful member of Cedar Ridge Christian Church in Coweta, Oklahoma, where she was deeply involved in the children's programs and volunteered with the Coweta Food for Kids program. Her dedication to her church and her community was a testament to her generous spirit and unwavering faith.
Outside of her work and volunteer activities, Teresa loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling, spending time at the lake and beach, and creating lasting memories with her family.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Norma Lou and Pete Hayes and Donald Lee Stevens Sr.; and two brothers, Donald Lee Stevens Jr. and Dennis Eugene Stevens.
She is survived by her husband, Doug Stack of the home in Coweta, Oklahoma; her two daughters, Kristi Pollardo and husband Jason of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Candice Meyer and husband Nick of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; her granddaughter, Felicity Pollardo; her sister, Jennifer Woolman and husband Randy of Skiatook, Oklahoma; her brother, Lester Joe Stevens of Coweta, Oklahoma; her nieces and nephews, Kenny, Damon, Eric, Brook, Sasha, Codi, Ericka, James, Randi, Shelby, Kalam, Laney, Gracie, London, and their spouses; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating Teresa's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Cedar Ridge Christian Church, 4010 W.
