Teresa Kay Wilson, 70, of Kahoka, passed away peacefully in her home at 7:36 pm, on Friday, March 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving husband and daughters.
Teresa was born on January 27, 1955, in Keokuk, Iowa. The daughter of Billy N and Melba J (Courtney) Yates.
Teresa graduated from Clark County High School in 1973. On July 4, 1979, she married the love of her life Herbert D Wilson in Kahoka, Missouri, and he survives. Teresa worked several jobs, but her favorite was being home for her husband and girls. She loved listening to classic rock music, reading, dancing, and collecting books. She had a green thumb and could grow any plant inside or out. Teresa was a true outdoorsman at heart, she found joy and serenity in the simple pleasures of camping and fishing, spending countless hours of sharing her experiences and lessons learned with her family and friends. Teresa had a pure and caring heart and loved her family very much.
Teresa is survived by her husband Herbert of 45 years, 3 daughters: Jan Dee (Joe) Redding of O’Fallon, MO, Jada Wilson of Jacksonville, FL, Jillian (Jessica Sweere) Wilson of Columbia, MO, Siblings: Nancy (Rick) Burkhart of LaGrange, MO, Bobbi Jean (Matthew) Hilgenbrinck of Luray, MO, Billie (Rick) Morrow of Kahoka, MO, Chris (Terri) Yates of Kahoka, MO, brother and sisters-in-law: Keith (Linda) Wilson of Kahoka, MO, Shirley Wilson of Kahoka, MO, Diana Yates of Montrose, IA, her precious grandchildren Mason and Evan Redding, her dachshunds and other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws Hugh and June (Barker) Wilson, a brother Mark Yates and 2 brothers-in-law Danny Wilson and Monte Wilson.
According to her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Private inurnment will be held at Wilson Cemetery.
Memorials in memory of Teresa Kay Wilson are suggested to the Hospice of Northeast Missouri and the Local Clark County Cancer Fund and may be left at the Wilson and Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka, MO.
