Teresa "Teri" Lynn Worden, 61, Shelbyville, died Monday, December 2, 2024 at Norton Audubon Hospital following an illness. A native of St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Margaret Bryson and the late Murphy Lee Worden, Sr. Teri loved life and embraced it fully. Teri attended Mineral Area College in Flat River, MO, where she was a star basketball player. She also played baseball/softball, where she excelled as a catcher. Her goal was to jump up behind home plate and make that throw to second base to get the out.
Teri's career was in the rotogravure/flexographic printing business. She worked for ten years at Mondi in Jackson, MO before eventually relocating to Shelbyville. She had been employed as a printing press operator in Amcor for the past seven years, where she worked on the Pharma side. At Amcor, she had a job she loved with people who became her extended family.
In her leisure time, Teri loved all sports. She was a diehard Kansas City Chiefs fan. And, don't forget, she never, ever missed "Survivor". She was a true Survivor fan. She was also a talented interior decorator as evidenced by her beautiful, immaculate home. She loved all things that had anything to do with printing. She always drove a Toyota pickup truck, which she kept spotless and took great pride in maintaining. Teri was baptized Catholic and was a non-denominational Christian by faith.
In addition to her father, her brother, Murphy Lee Worden, Jr. and her stepfather, Stanley Doyle Smith, who introduced her to the printing business, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her mother, Margaret "Sonny" Bryson of St. Petersburg, FL; two nieces, Kayla Diane Worden of Spokane, WA and Olivia Rieffer of St. Louis, MO; one nephew, Edmond Rieffer of St. Ann, MO; her friend and co-worker, Dillion McClain of Taylorsville, her beloved dogs, Jessie Jane and Bear and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Friday, December 6, 2024 at Webb Funeral Home with visitation after 2 p.m. Rhonda Gilman will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the American Cancer Society in Teri's memory.
Webb Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.webbfuneralhome.com.
