Terrence Xavier Gillard, age 25, of Bay City, Michigan passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 16, 2022. He was born September 5, 1996 in Bay City, Michigan where he has resided his entire life. Terrence was a proud father who loved his family. He was a gifted hockey player and coach who loved the game and will be missed dearly. Terrence had a great love for the outdoors and fishing. He will be remembered for being outgoing, a good friend to many, and his contagious smile.
Terrence is survived by his mother, Kelly Shea, of Lansing, Michigan; father, Francis "Frank" Gillard of Bay City, Michigan; brothers, James (Chloe) Gillard Dromore, Ireland, C.J. Glaza and Desmond Glaza; sisters, Krystal Gillard of Bay City, Michigan, Tessa Kosecki; son, Xavier; daughters, Nevaeh, Ryleigh, Novah; mothers of family, Tori Quintel and Jessica LaFlure; grandmother, Deb Megger; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, fellow players and coaches who all brought joy to his life. Terrence was preceded in death by his adoptive mother, Madonna Jammer; and grandparents, Francis and Rita Gillard and Ronald Atwater.
Terrence's family will welcome friends and neighbors at the Squires Funeral Home, 211 North Henry Street, Bay City, Michigan 48706 on Monday, July 25, 2022 from 3-6:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home that evening. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Family Wishes, C/O Francis Gillard.
