Terrence Murray

Terrence L. Murray, 76, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 in a local care center. Mr. Murray was born in Jasper, Alabama on July 2, 1949 and was son to the late Arthur Ashworth Murray and Mildren Vivian Kitchens Murray. He moved to the Jacksonville area about 50 years ago and was a member of Dunns Creek Baptist Church. He retired as a Freight Manager from Benton Brothers Freight and loved watching Alabama Football "Roll Tide". Mr. Murray was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Timmy Murray and is survived by his wife of 40 years: Cheryl Lynn Murray; son: Matthew Murray; sister: Sharon Abrour (Mike); 3 brothers: Paul Murray (Palma), Frank Murray and Joey Murray (Brenda); grandson: Nathaniel Murray and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 in the Event Center at Peeples, 14165 N. Main Street (Building C) with Rev. Dave Malmberg officiating. His family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Peeples Family Funeral Home is serving the Murray Family.
