Terrence “Terry” Lee Olsson, age 82, passed away on October 14, 2025.

Terry was born in Cedar Falls, IA on February 9, 1943 to Gordon and Gertrude (Naber) Olsson.

Terry graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1961. He worked at Henry's Standard Station in Waterloo, IA and then worked at Aramark for 31 years until he retired.

Terry married Janice Reints on April 4, 1964. Together, they had 3 children, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandsons.

Terry had many hobbies, including fishing, camping, traveling out west, and puzzles.

While Terry held many roles, none meant more to him than that of "Grandpa". His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his world, and he made sure they knew it every single day.

Terry is survived by his wife, Janice Olsson of Mankato; brother, Scott Olsson of Paw Paw, IL; 3 kids, Terry Olsson of Santa Fe, NM, Michelle (Randy) Klenk of St. Clair, MN, Dave Olsson of Minnetonka, MN; grandchildren, Jenni (Matt) Hagen, Jeff (Jozie) Klenk, Tyler Olsson, and Ashley (Danny) Olsson; great- grandchildren, Bentley, Easton, and Keegan; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dick and Rick; sister, Judy; and niece, Lori.

The visitation will be held from 10:00-11:30 on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Mankato Mortuary, with a private family service to follow.

The family would like to express their immense gratitude to St. Croix Hospice and Oakwood Memory Care in Janesville.
