Terrie Lee Kurrasch (Ensign), passed away in Portland, Oregon on July 11, 2025, at the age of 78. Terrie was born in Oakland, California on November 16, 1946, to the late Chester H. and Kathryn Mansfield Ensign. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Arthur Kurrasch if Alameda, CA. Sister Susan Ensign-Wunce and her husband John Wunce of Spotsylvania, Virgina, Sister-in-law Linda Ensign. Terrie is also survived by many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Terrie graduated from California State University, Hayward with a B.S. in Recreation and MPH degree in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley. She had a career in the Healthcare industry; Director of Recreational Therapy, Children's Hospital, Planning Director (several hospitals), she was a Consultant, Hospital facilities planning and Hospitals facilities design: Ratcliff Architects. Terrie was a member of the American College of Health Care Executives she was a Life Fellow and a Regent. She was a member and past President of the Native Daughters of the Golden West, Encinal Parlor. Member of Alameda Hospital Foundation Board of Directors, Alameda Welfare Council, Board of Directors, Jobs Daughters Bethel 12, Alameda, California, past Guardian. Lake Merritt Breakfast Club, Alameda Hospitality Club and the Montclair Women's Club. Terrie and Art were World travelers, mainly by sea and on rivers. Donations made be made in her name to the Alameda Boys and Girls Club, Alameda Lodge 1015 BPO Elks Charity fund or the charity of your choice. Memorial Celebration of Life Pending.
