Terrie Young

Terrie Lee Stuart Young, age 84, died peacefully on November 14, 2025, in Columbia, Missouri. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, November 20, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Columbia, with visitation from 10 to 11 in the morning and the service beginning at 11. The committal service will follow at 2 in the afternoon at St. Michael's Cemetery in Leonard, Missouri.
Terrie was born in Leonard, Missouri, on October 5, 1941, to Lowell and Alma Peoples Stuart. She married Wilfred B. Young on June 5, 1999, in Nashville, Tennessee, and he survives. Terrie graduated from Stephens College in 1980 and built a fulfilling career in banking and nonprofit organizations. She loved spending time with her family, cherished her lifelong friendships, and especially enjoyed traveling to tropical locations with her husband.
Survivors include her children Michael and Teresa Magruder of Columbia, Missouri, Chris and Dilenny Magruder of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Paula and Andrew Crowe of Omaha, Nebraska, Jeff and Hannah Young of Santa Anna, California, Lori Masielle of Peach Tree City, Georgia, and Brian and Karen Young of Flower Mound, Texas. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, her sister Tess Hayes of Armstrong, Missouri, her sister-in-law Marilyn Tarasuk of Hilton Head, South Carolina, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association or Stephens College.
