Terry Lee Ayres, age 78 of McEwen, TN passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, November 5, 2023. Terry was born in Battlecreek, MI on January 28, 1945 to the late Evelyn Caroline Yaudes Ayres and Robert Sherman Ayres. Terry proudly served his country in the U.S Army. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed to fish and hunt. Mr. Terry loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 30 years, Martha Mae James Ayres of McEwen, TN; step sons, Danny Bragg (Tammy) and Keith Bragg (Tammy) both of McEwen, TN; brother, Robert "Bobby" Ayres; sisters, Jean Conine and Diane Palmiter; 7 step grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Terry is preceded in death by his brothers, Carl Ayres, Stewart Ayres, Dale Ayres, Mike Ayres and David Yaudes and sisters, Vera Martin and Arlene Livingston
A visitation for Terry will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 beginning at 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service at 12:00 P.M. at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen. Officiating the service will be Bro. David Deavers. Interment to follow at Stephens Cemetery in Perry County, TN.
