Terry Alan Babb, 76, of Evansville passed away on August 3 2024. Terry chose to donate his body to Anatomical Education Program of Indiana University School of Medicine.
Terry was born August 24 1947 in Evansville to the late Dannie D and Fern E. (Schmitt) Babb. Terry graduated from F.J. Reitz in 1965. Terry was a long-time member of Simpson UMC, Helfrich Men's Club and USI Varsity Club. Terry was co-owner and operator of Apex Tool and Mfg., Inc., along with his wife Susie, for 54 years. Terry was a proud member of the National Tooling and Machining Association. In 1994 he received their highest honor, The NTMA Honor Award. Terry was an avid golfer, fan and supporter of USI and Reitz athletics, as well as a member of numerus church and community organizations. Family was very important to him as he enjoyed supporting his grandkids many activities.
Surviving Terry, are his wife of 58 years, Susan (Hubbard) Babb; daughter Nicole Babb; son B. Jay Babb (Sarah); daughter in law Barbara Babb; brother Lenny Babb (Becky), sister in law Jane Babb, brothers-in-law B.J. Hubbard, Mark Hubbard (Joyce); grandchildren Tanner Babb (Lauren), Zoie Babb, Alec Turner (Samantha), Rileigh Turner, Levi Babb, Liam Babb, Weston Babb; greatgrandchildren Roman and Julian Babb, Owen and Blake Turner; and many nieces and nephews.
Terry is proceeded in death by son Brock Babb, granddaughter Anna Babb, brother Randy Babb, brother-in-law Bob Hubbard, sisters-in-law Karen Hubbard, Kay Hubbard, nephew Brent Hubbard, in-laws Barney and Margorie Hubbard.
There will be a celebration of life service held at 4 PM Sunday August 11 at Simpson UMC located at 2201 W Illinois in Evansville. Friends may visit the family from 2:30 PM – until service time on Sunday.
