Pastor Terry L. "Soup" Borah Sr., passed away at the age of 83, on Saturday, January 17, 2026 in his home with his family around him. He was born September 3, 1942 at home outside of Bremen to Bob and Beulah Borah.
He has left behind his best friend, Bunny, who was his high school sweetheart. They have a son, Terry L (Lori) Borah Jr. and daughter, Michelle Suzanne (John) Brehm. They have 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandson; siblings, Rusty, Tim, Donn and Sheryl.
Terry graduated from Bremen Rushcreek Memorial High School in 1960. He really loved his classmates.
Terry worked at North American AVN, Rockwell AVN, Rushville Feed & Supply Company (Owner) and in the year 1987 the Lord called Terry and Bunny into the ministry. Together they served 37 years. They sang in the Redeemers Gospel Group for 12 years. They served 5 churches during this time and Pastor Terry retired from the Amanda Church which he really loved. Terry was an active member of the Bremen Area Historical Society for 16 years.
Terry dearly loved his family. He loved fishing on Tee and Lori's farm, loved to travel with his daughter, Shelly and her husband, John to watch Nicole, their daughter, dive for Monroe High School. Terry loved to hunt with his boys. In April each year, they would have a Wild Game Dinner. He enjoyed his horses and farm.
If Terry could come back he would say "I'm thankful for my family and life was worth it" and to everyone he would say, "Love the Lord and be ready!"
A time to visit with Terry's family will be Wednesday, January 21st from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM at Morgan Funeral Home, Bremen. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 22nd at 2 PM in the funeral home with one hour prior visiting. Graveside services will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
