Terry D. "Tubby" Bryant, a devout and devoted servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at the age of 78. He was born on November 14, 1946, to the late Carl and Margaret Bridges Bryant. Terry was a beacon of faith and an inspiration to all who knew him.
Terry dedicated his life to the belief that our greatest calling is to be obedient to God. His unwavering faith and commitment to living a life in service to others in the community were hallmarks of his character. He was known for his generosity, kindness, and the extraordinary gift of service that he shared with those around him. Throughout his life, Terry was actively involved at Buckeye Baptist Church where he was a lifelong member, serving as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. His compassion and empathy made a significant impact on many lives, touching hearts and spreading the love of Christ through his actions.
He loved camping, going to the lake, gardening, and was an avid Tarheel fan. Terry retired from Square D company after 35 years of service.
Terry is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Sheila Rodgers Bryant; daughters, Lynn Hollingsworth and husband, Michael and Lori Swink and husband, Quinn; and grandchildren, Cameron Guterwill and Garrin Swink. He also leaves behind extended family members and numerous friends who will forever cherish his memory.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:00pm at Buckeye Baptist Church. A service to celebrate Terry's life and legacy will immediately follow at the church with Rev. David Moore and Rev. Stanley Taylor officiating. The burial will be in Sky View Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Buncombe Baptist Association, 227 Hazel Mill Road, Asheville, NC 28806. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Terry, please visit our floral store.

So sorry to hear of Terry's passing. I worked with him 30+ years at Square D. He was one of the nicest people I ever had the pleasure of working with, he was always pleasant and just a good person. My prayers are with you during this loss in your family.

The Bryant family was well loved by mine. My dad, Harry, worked at the Big D with Terry. I worked there as well for 26 years, where Terry was always a dependable, hard-working colleague. My mom, Doris worked with Margaret at Sears. I often visited Margaret before she passed, never leaving hungry or without a great chat. Terry was always seen with a smile on his face & a twinkle in his eyes. My deepest condolences to Sheila and their family. I can only say a candle has been dimmed that the world sorely needed. May Terry rest in paradise! With deepest sympathy, Claudia Grier Maher
