Terry Covington Obituary

Terry Lee Covington (4-03-1952 to 10-31-2024)

Terry Lee Covington lost a six month battle to Acute Leukemia On October 31, 2024. He was a 1970 graduate of Wheeler High School where he served as a class officer. He enlisted in the Army, did his basic training in Worcester, Massachusetts. He served in ASA and concluded his service in Augsburg, Germany. Upon return he attended Ga. State University for two years. He began his career as a homebuilder and transitioned to drawing cads for other established builders. He is preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn G. Covington, his father, Alfred E. Covington Jr., his brother Kent C. Covington, his brother Gregory C. Covington of Marietta, Ga. He married twice and is succeeded by his adopted son Brandon, his sister Kristie C. Burrows of Braselton, GA, his neice Paige E. Burrows of Mountain Rest, SC, nephew Brent P. Burrows, great nephews Luke P. Burrows and Lincoln D. Burrows of Buford, GA, his nephew Kent Covington Jr. great nephew Kent C. Covington lll and great niece Savanah Covington of Braselton, GA. In his last years he resided in Otto, NC. He is to be buried on his property in a private ceremony with his family in mid-May, 2025. His best friends Phil Chastain and Carolyn Jump will attend and lead the service.
