Terry Lynn Diver

Terry Lynn Diver, 79, of Petersburg, passed away on October 1, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.
Terry was born on February 2, 1945, to Wilson and Audrey (Stark) Diver in Monroe. He was one of seven children. He graduated from Deerfield High School in 1963. He went on to journeyman school to become a plumber, pipefitter and welder, where he was a member of Local 671 and retired after 36 years.
Terry married Marilyn Cevora at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Deerfield and have been married for 59 years. Terry and Marilyn have three children, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was known by many as Pipi and for his delicious homemade chicken noodle soup.
Terry and Marilyn spent over 50 years making memories at Marr Lake in the summers. After retirement, he and Marilyn spent their time traveling all 50 states and spent their winters in Florida. He enjoyed fishing in Florida and Lake Erie catching perch or walleye with family and friends. Terry was a Summerfield Township Volunteer Fireman for 29 years and was a member of Light of Christ Parish (formerly St. Alphonsus Church).
Terry is survived by his wife, his three children, Jolene (Bryan) Parker, Janel (Pete) Boss, and Jim (Gina) Diver, his eight grandchildren, Jakob, Kara (Jed), McKenna, Jessica (Brian), Ellyce (Eduardo), Jenna (John), Marissa (Zach), Michael (Cassidy), his five great grandchildren, Camden, Liam, Nora, Kendal and JP and siblings Judy Fischer, Kaye Siering, Dean (Lu) Diver and Allan Diver. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, sister Janice Clark and brother Bob Diver.
Visitation will be held at Capaul Funeral Home (Ida, MI) from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday October 6, 2024. He will lay in state from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with Mass to follow at Light of Christ Parish / St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (Deerfield, MI) on Monday October 7, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Father Jeffrey Poll will officiate. A private burial of cremains will take place at St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery (Deerfield, MI), at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Light of Christ Parish, Summerfield Township Fire Department or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
