Terry Walter "T.J." Ely

Terry Walter "T.J." Ely, Jr., age 28, of Silver Creek, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at an Atlanta hospital.
T.J. was born in Rome, Georgia on September 20, 1996, son of Terry Walter Ely, Sr. and Pam Johnson Ely. He was a 2015 graduate of Pepperell High School. T.J. worked for Field Turf as a Lift Driver and was a member of Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church. He loved western wear, wrestling, loved to play Monopoly, T.J. was a gun enthusiast. He had the biggest heart and to know him was to love him. He was the closest to perfect you could meet.
Survivors include his wife, Madison Sheppard Ely; his "Boys" Odin & Simba; his parents, Terry & Pam Ely; a sister, Amanda Leann Dean (Randy); two nephews, Damien Dean & Jack Dean; mother-in-law, Treva Young (Bobby); father-in-law, Mark Sheppard; sisters-in-law, Mallory Sheppard & Julia Sheppard; a niece, Josie Wickersham; numerous other relatives and close friends.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 4pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Rev. Zach Kinsey officiating. In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated following the service.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Sunday from 2pm until 3:45pm. They request that you wear your favorite western wear or Hawaiian prints.
