Terry Luther Heafner

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Terry Luther Heafner, born on January 27, 1958, in Gastonia, NC. Terry passed away on November 30, 2025, at his home in Fort Pierce, FL.

Terry lived a life full of adventure and joy. He was known for his love of riding motorcycles, spending weekends fishing, and enjoying time on the water. Terry had a colorful career, owning his own tractor trailer called Terry's Towing and was also the former owner and operator of Branchview Dry Cleaners in Concord, NC, and later finding a path as a truck driver in the recycling industry.

Above all, Terry cherished his role as a father to his beloved daughter, Christin Kennedy (Michael); and sons, Josh Heafner, Jeremy Heafner (Natalia); grandchildren, Cameron Heafner, Kyleigh Heafner and Skylar Heafner ; brother, Alan Heafner; ex-wife, Elaine Heafner; several nieces and nephews. He will be profoundly missed by family and friends who remember him for his zest for life and his generous spirit.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation that will take place on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at the Independent Baptist Tabernacle 2128 Dallas Cherryville Hwy, Dallas, NC 28034. Afterward, Terry will be laid to rest at the church cemetery.

Terry's life was a memorable journey, and we hope to celebrate that journey together in the days ahead.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Ned and Marlene Heafner; brother, Lonnie Heafner.
