Terry L. Johnson

Terry L. Johnson 79, of Bolivar, died Tuesday October 3, 2023 at Aultman Hospital in Canton. Born February 3, 1944 in Canton, he was a son of the late Thomas Leonard and Helen (Mallernee) Johnson Kerr.
Terry was a 1962 graduate of Timken Vocational High School and attended Akron University. He served in the U.S. Army from 1963-1966 (Stationed in Europe) during the Viet Nam War and retired in 2001 from the Hoover Company after 35 years. Terry was an active member of Faith Family Church in Canton, serving with the Men's Fellowship, Ushers and the TCO Team. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events and his time at Ft. Myers Beach, Florida.
His is survived by his wife the former Sandra Fenton, whom he married in 1968. Also surviving are two sons Tad (Amira) Johnson and Scott Johnson both of Florida; grandchildren Tanner, Hayden, Sage and Hannah; sister Gail Schrack of Florida; two brothers William Kerr of Cleveland and Chip (Patti) Johnson of Arizona; sister-in-law Pam (Randy) Pipes of Canton and father-in-law Dale Fenton of New Philadelphia.
In keeping with his wishes, no services are being planned. The family will celebrate his life at a later date. The Lebold-Smith Funeral Home in Bolivar is handling the arrangements. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Faith Family Church at 8200 Freedom Ave. N.W. North Canton 44720.
