Terry Allen Knee, 78, of rural Urbana, Indiana, died at 6:29 pm, Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 24, 1947, in Wabash, Indiana, to Charles Harold and Wilma Arlene (Snyder) Knee.
Terry married Marcia Harper at the Wabash Christian Church on September 26, 1965; she died August 14, 2018. He worked for the Indiana State Financial Assessment Staff for 22 years, retiring in 2014. Terry was very involved in the 4-H Fair, was a member of the Fair Board, the Moose Lodge, and Hanna Masonic Lodge, all of Wabash, the Lagro American Legion, and a former member of the Urbana Lions Club. Terry attended the Urbana Yoke Parish. He was extremely community oriented and always needed something to occupy his time. Terry enjoyed mowing and maintaining his property, and especially loved his dogs, Star and Mercy.
He is survived by two children, Shaun (Renee) Knee of South Whitley, Indiana, Tiann (Robert) Aughinbaugh of Huntington, Indiana, adopted son, Tracy (Connie) Carboni of North Carolina, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two sisters, Kay Hapner of Carmel, Indiana, and Lori (Jeff) Holland of Utah. He was also preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Sheri Ann Knee, and granddaughter, Christina Lynn Knee.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Chris Brock and Brian Chamberlain officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Friday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Wabash County 4-H.
