He was the son of the late James Robert Jr. and Dorothy Ann McDaniel. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, James Robert McDaniel II, and a granddaughter Lily Ann McDaniel.
Surviving are two daughters, Liane McDaniel, and Jammie McDaniel; three sisters, Wanda Rawls and husband, Johnny, Kathy Sanders and husband, Tommy, and Rene McDaniel; one brother Gary McDaniel; eight grandchildren; and one special nephew Bobby Allen; and many nieces.
A private celebration of life will take place at a later date.
Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville in charge of arrangements.
