Terry Morrin, known by many as "T", passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the age of 57. He was born June 13, 1967 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan to the late Raymond Terrence and Katherine Marie Morrin.
Beloved husband of Kelly. Dearest brother of Katherine (the late Rick) Fry, Sheila Morrin, Maureen (the late Chris) Baskel, Michele Hall, the late Michael (Anna) Morrin, Carl Morrin, Suzanne (David) Springer, Lisa (Bob) Walker, and the late Matthew Morrin. Also survived by his Godson, Aaron (Carly) Hall, and many loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Terry is remembered as a man who truly cherished time spent with family and friends. Growing up in Detroit as the youngest of 10 children, not only did he have plenty of brothers and sisters looking out for him, he also made many lifelong friends, friends he still kept in touch with well into his adult years. Terry could tell stories about the families that grew up on the same block as him and would remember so many details such as where they lived, who they were related to, as well as any fond memories. It was this innate interest in others that led to so many meaningful friendships and relationships that brought him such joy throughout his life.
Terry was a proud and active member of The Lions Club for 16 years, first with Clinton Valley and most recently with Eastpointe. In his free time, Terry loved gardening. He and Kelly would tend to their home gardens growing beautiful flowers and plants, some of which belonged to his mother, grandmother, and sisters, that he continued to nourish for them. He liked to stay active and was always on the move. Whenever possible, Terry and Kelly would also join friends to go dancing, something they both loved to do. Terry had some cool moves for sure. He enjoyed travelling, going on adventures, and trying new things. In November of '23, Kelly and Terry were able to take a vacation in New Orleans for Kelly's birthday, a trip that they had so much fun and created cherished memories on. But when he did take time to relax, he loved listening to Punk & Rock music and treasured being around his K-9 companions. From an early age, Terry had a special bond with dogs; from his childhood dog Budweiser, to his special buddy Vinnie, and now Baxter, dogs always had a special place in his heart. Kelly recalls a story where Terry was having a medical issue in the middle of the night and her dog Hershey feverishly woke her up to let her know Terry needed her assistance, undoubtedly a personification of the unconditional love shared between Terry and his beloved dogs.
Visitation Monday, June 2, 2025, from 2-8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. Memorial Service at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 11470 Thirteen Mile Road (West of Hoover) Warren.
