Terry Motes Obituary
Mr. Terry Romance Motes accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age at Roberts Chapel UMC Church.
Terry was employed by Dundee Mills in Griffin, Georgia, and Palco Industries in Zebulon, Georgia. In his leisure time he enjoyed having fun, joking, dancing, and spending time with his family and friends.
On Thursday, December 5, 2024, Mr. Terry Romance Motes' name was called, and he answered and was free from all sickness and pain. Rest now in peace and comfort, your journey has ended, battle fought, and victory won. He was preceded in death by his parents, John E. Motes, and Jeannie Mae Evans Motes, and his siblings, Willie Henry (Lanny) Motes, Jerry Frank Motes, and Louise Motes Martin.
Mr. Terry Romance Motes leaves a lasting legacy, full of loving memories his devoted son, Romance T. (Ashley) Motes; granddaughter, Chasity Motes; one great grandson; his siblings, Martha J. "Mott" O'Neal, and Lily B. (Emory) Jones; a very special friend, Faye M. Potts, special nephew, Vince Motes, and very close friends, Frank and Vera Turnipseed. He also leaves host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends that will surely miss him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Burden's Funeral Home. A Celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel at Burden's Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service hour. Interment will follow in Roberts Chapel UMC Church. Rev. Travis Ferguson is the Eulogist.
