Terry Pickens II
Alton - Terry Lee Pickens II, 45, of Alton, IL, passed away on May 25, 2025. Born on June 11, 1979 in Zanesville, OH, Terry was a devoted husband, father, and businessman, known for his love of THE Ohio State and his entrepreneurial spirit.
Terry served honorably in the Army, where he developed a discipline and commitment to those around him that served him well in both his personal and professional life.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Sonia Pickens; daughters, Chloe (Parker) Harrison and Mya Pickens; sons, Myles and Mason Pickens; mother, Tammy Pickens; sisters, Jill (Chris) McDonald and Lyndsee (Brett) Johnson; and was loved by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, grandparents and his in-laws. He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Pickens.
He also had two cats, Olivia and Allie (aka Titty Kitty) and a golden dog named Benji, who, despite the incessant barking, was a beloved member of the family.
Terry's passion for life was apparent in his hobbies, which included watching Ohio sports, buying, selling and collecting sports cards, haunted Alton and ghost stories, cave exploring, reality and true crime series, fireworks, and making up contests (with money on the line) with his kids.
A private family gathering to honor Terry's life will be held in Ohio at a later date.
Terry's legacy is marked by his unwavering dedication to his family, his service to his country, his commitment to his business and customers, and his entrepreneurial spirit. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Charitable donations may be made in Terry's honor to the American Cancer Society.

I´m so sad to learn of Terry´s passing. Tide was my first job and he was so funny, kind, and patient with me-I often think of him calling me "the dumbest smart person I know" and laugh. My condolences to all of his loved ones.

Terry our dear son-in-law was a fun loving guy who also had a great work ethic that helped to make him a successful businessman. He and our daughter Sonia gave us three wonderful grandchildren and step granddaughter that have added much joy to our lives. Last but not least he turned me into a die hard Ohio State football fan which I will be till my last day on this earth just like he was. While we will miss him very much, he has left us with many happy memories that will remain in our hearts and minds forever. With much love, Mom & Dad Vaughan

Love you babe, hope I did you proud with this. One of the hardest things I´ve ever had to do but you deserve a beautiful tribute for all to see. I´ll keep our little monsters safe and loved. Love you always and forever.
