1959-2024
Terry L. Ping, 65, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
He was born July 5, 1959, to Richard L. and Barbara J. Ping in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Terry graduated from Benton High School in 1977. He worked at local manufacturers in production and as a maintenance mechanic, including over 20 years at Johnson Controls.
He also acquired universal HVAC certification and owned and operated Ping's Heating and Cooling.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, boating, and spending time with family. He loved listening to and performing rock music, playing lead guitar for local bands, including Aeriel and Gerico in the 1980s.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Richard and Barbara Ping; and his grandparents, John and Frances (Wardlow) Boy.
Survivors include his children, who were his pride and joy, Jamie Ping and Trevor Ping of St. Joseph, MO; and their mother, Donna (Sherman) Ping.
Because Terry loved animals, including his adopted dogs, Jack and Buddy, the family suggests memorial contributions to Friends of the Animal Shelter of St. Joseph.
