Cindie M. Curtis, 74, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026.

She was born July 13, 1951 to Paul E. and Velma A. (Heimbaugh) Trullinger in Maywood, California.

Cindie married the love of her life, William "Bill" E. Curtis, on March 16, 2001. Their union blossomed with shared moments, from serene walks to country dances, which were among Cindie's passion in life. They were not only enthusiasts but also dance instructors. Cindie enjoyed moments when she was surrounded by her family and her close-knit group of dance friends.

A member of the Green Valley Baptist Church, Cindie's faith was a cornerstone of her existence.

Professionally, Cindie dedicated 35 years of service as an administrative assistant at Missouri Western State University.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband; sons, Matthew Murphy (Rebecca) and Ryan Murphy (Heather); stepson, John Curtis (Megean); 11 grandchildren; sister, Teresa Klein (Gary); and stepsister, Linda White.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 16, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday, March 15, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Lustgarten Pancreatic Cancer Research.
