Terry E. Saurer, age 78, passed away unexpectedly on September 6, 2025. He was born on June 15, 1947, in Barberton, OH, to Ralph E. Saurer and Marie L. Collier. Terry was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Marilynn Miller Saurer.

Terry is survived by his three children: Corey (Joel) Marmet of Burbank, Logan Saurer of Wooster, and Jordan Saurer of Millersburg, as well as 5 grandchildren: Avery, Lucy, Fiona, Cypress, and Pixzy,. He is also mourned by his loving partner of 11 years, Patricia Lang, and many friends and family who will miss him.

A graduate of Kent State University, Terry spent much of his professional life working for Midwest Rubber and later Rubbermaid. His work ethic extended beyond his career, as he contributed to the local community as a part-owner of several businesses in the Holmes County area. Most recently, he was the proud owner of Bookworms in Millersburg, where he could often be found six days a week, helping customers discover new stories.

Outside the bookstore, Terry found joy in working outside, taking care of his property and enjoying the simpler things in life. He cherished his time spent with Patricia, and enjoyed going out to eat, playing cards, and watching movies. As a father, he was stern but loving and frequently made time to be a listening ear and offer advice. He had a genuine sense of humor and found great pleasure in making jokes, referencing Seinfeld, and sharing funny stories from life.

A graveside service to celebrate Terry's life will be held on Friday, September 12th at 1 p.m. at Congress Cemetery.
