Terry Dexter Preston Stackhouse, 67, of Fayetteville, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born April 7, 1958 in Frederick, MD, he was a son of the late Orville William and Thelma Mazie Yingling Stackhouse.
Terry was employed as a truck driver for Save-A-Lot Food Stores and later Titus Trucking until his retirement. He was a member of the Mont Alto Volunteer Fire Dept. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 15, VFW Post 695, Elks Lodge #2270, Moose Lodge #1309, and the Eagles Club, all in Waynesboro. Terry enjoyed fishing and hunting in his spare time.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Lee Starliper Stackhouse, whom he married on October 29, 2022; two step-children, Kayla Starliper and Robin Royer, both of Greencastle; four step-grandchildren, Kaden, Aidan, Kasey Jo, and Kaylee; three siblings, Barb Rhodes, Wayne Stackhouse and Jeff Stackhouse; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edgar and Brenda Starliper of Greencastle; and his sister-in-law, Shirley Stackhouse. Aside from his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Stackhouse.
Services and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA. Condolences and memories may be shared at geiselfuneralhome.com.
