Terry L. Welsh II, 54, of Columbus, passed away peacefully at Mount Carmel East Hospital on the evening of Sunday, September 28, 2025.
Terry was born on February 2, 1971, in Columbus, Ohio, to Terry and Sharon (Finch) Welsh. He had a heart of gold and never knew a stranger. Terry worked for many years at the Giant Eagle in Gahanna, where he greeted everyone with a smile. He had a deep love for classic cars, especially his baby blue 1966 Mustang, which he was incredibly proud of. For over 20 years, Monday and Friday nights were spent watching WWE wrestling with his dad—moments he truly cherished. A devoted sports fan, Terry never missed a game, always cheering on Ohio State football and his beloved Minnesota Vikings.
He will be deeply missed by his family. He is survived by his mother, Sharon Welsh; siblings Stacy Kirkendall (Patrick Mulholland), Stephanie Jones (Dani Rutherford), and Sonja (John) Milligan; stepsisters Katrina Rollins, Kristi (Scott) Brown, and Kateri (Mark) Voit; nieces and nephews Allison Smith, Zachary (Kelli) Kirkendall, Katelyn Kirkendall, Avery Jones, Amanda Jones, Alexis Burgess; and great-nephew Booker Smith.
Terry was preceded in death by his father, Terry L. Welsh (June 5, 2025).
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 5, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd., Columbus. As Terry was a HUGE Ohio State fan, please join us in wearing Ohio State-themed items for the visitation and service. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Jim Lanning officiating.
