Thaddeus John Strzelec

Thaddeus John Strzelec August 18, 1928 - January 5, 2024 Thaddeus (Tod) John Strzelec, age 95, died peacefully on Friday, January 5, 2024. Tod was born in Chicago, Illinois to Stanley and Emma Strzelec. As a young lad, Tod moved to the Ludington area with his family and lived much of his childhood life on a farm outside of Ludington, which he considered home all his remaining years. Tod was a devote Catholic, committed to his faith and Church.

Tod was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann (Garvey) Strzelec; brothers, Paul, Frank, Stanley and sister, Ruth. He is survived by his sister, Mary Ann (Strzelec) Doherty; daughters, Debbie and Diane; niece, Christine Manning, who visited often and kept him entertained, and various nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the neighbors of the farm who assisted him throughout the years.

Tod was a master carpenter and never came across a piece of wood he didn't find a way to use, whether in furniture, carvings or distinctive creations.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 11am with Rev. Fr. John Byers as celebrant. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary School.
