We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Than Khek, a beloved figure known for his friendly demeanor, loving nature, and kindness. Born on January 1, 1952, in Cambodia to Parents: Father Kheom Khek Mother Chin Ross. Than lived a life marked by dedication, service, and the simple joys of family and nature until his peaceful passing in Austin, Texas, on August 27, 2025, due to underlying medical conditions.

Than grew up in Cambodia, where the early years of his life were filled with the rich culture and traditions of his homeland. His resilience was evident from a young age, and after completing his high school education, he proudly served in the Cambodian Marines, demonstrating his commitment to his country and his strong sense of duty.

Seeking new opportunities, Than embarked on a journey that would lead him to the United States, where he continued to exemplify hard work and perseverance. He found employment with the Elgin Brick Company, a role that highlighted his dedication and reliability. Than's work ethic shone even brighter during his tenure at Motorola/NXP, where he contributed over 27 years of service. His colleagues remember him not only for his professionalism but also for the warmth and camaraderie he brought to the workplace.

Outside of his professional life, Than was an avid lover of the outdoors. He cherished family time, whether it was spent watching tennis matches with loved ones, sharing the tranquility of fishing, or exploring the great outdoors on camping trips. His passion for these activities was infectious, and he was often the driving force behind many memorable family adventures.

Those who knew Than will recall his approachable and gentle spirit. He was a man who listened more than he spoke, and when he did speak, his words were always infused with kindness and consideration. His presence was a source of comfort and joy to those around him.

Than's legacy is one of love, friendship, and the enduring bonds he formed with everyone he met. He navigated life's challenges with grace and left an indelible mark on the hearts of his friends and family. Though he may have departed from this world, the memories of his friendly smile, his loving embrace, and his kindhearted acts will continue to inspire and console those who were fortunate enough to know him.

As we remember Than Khek, we celebrate a life lived with purpose, love, and a profound sense of kindness that will continue to inspire. His memory will be treasured in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him, and his spirit will live on through the countless lives he has touched. Though he has left this earthly realm, the essence of who he was - a friendly, loving, and kind man - will never be forgotten.

Survived by his wife Margie Khek of 45 years, 2 Children: Daughter April & Husband Robby LaFuente, 4 amazing grandchildren: Jacey, Rylan, Landyn and Bryson; Son Jeremy & Wife Michele and amazing grandson Jaxon Khek, and Mother-In-Law Gloria Allmon. Also Survived by Multiple Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Nieces and Nephews , good friends and former work friends, he was truly blessed to have known each one of you.

Than's legacy is one of enduring warmth and generosity. His approach to life, always with a friendly smile, touched the hearts of many and made him a beloved figure within his community. His loving nature extended not only to his family and friends but to all who had the privilege of crossing his path. Kindness was his compass, guiding him through life's challenges and triumphs, and leaving a lasting impression on those who knew him.
