Thelma Bertholf Obituary

Thelma Louise Bertholf, affectionately known as Tillie, passed away on June 7, 2024, at the age of 93 at her home in New Hampton, NY. She was born on September 22, 1930, in Ellenville, NY.
Thelma Louise was a social butterfly who cherished the company of her beloved family. She found joy in their presence and loved having them around her. Throughout her life, she engaged in various hobbies, including reading, needlepoint, and traveling, which allowed her to explore new places and create lasting memories.
Thelma Louise was married to Joseph Bertholf for an incredible 71 years, until his passing on June 3rd of this year. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and devotion. They were blessed with three children: Denise Tonic, James Bertholf (Patty), and Deborah Mills (Andy). Tillie also took immense pride in her grandchildren: Susan Graves, Ricky Bertholf, Richard Hitt, Sonya Blade (Cliff), Christa Tonic (John), Joseph Bertholf (Karen), Cassandra Mills (Mathew), Brynn McKeon (Corey), and James Bertholf (Sophia) and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her family, Thelma Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Louis Miller, and her siblings Goldie Austin, William Miller, Gertrude Miller, John Miller, and Louis Miller.
Thelma Louise was a dedicated member of the Lions Club, where she made positive contributions to her community and supported various charitable causes and got to travel the world.
Thelma's vibrant spirit and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A private memorial will be held for the family.
