Thelma Jean Callahan

Thelma Jean Callahan, 70, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023 at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born in Jefferson City on June 12, 1953; a daughter to the late George Albert and Sara Rosa (Moad) Bias. On January 22, 2022, she was united in marriage to Mel Callahan at First Baptist Church in St. Elizabeth, Missouri.
Thelma attended and graduated from Jefferson City High School. For most of her career, she was an in-home caregiver and personal house keeper. She loved to garden and had both a vegetable garden and flower garden. Thelma also enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, and in her younger years, dancing. Most of all, she loved and adored her husband, children, family, dogs, and being a grandma was her greatest joy. She will be deeply missed by all who know and love her.
She is survived by her husband, Mel; sons, Pete Redmon, Michael Redmon, and Jamie (Brittany) Redmon; daughters, Tamika (Travis) Sandstrom, LaSandra Redmon, and ReJeane Redmon; grandchildren, Adam Redmon Jr., Joshua, Cody, Ashley, Shyanne, and Colton Redmon, Anthony, Malichi, Daniel, and Andrew Owens, Perry Redmon IV, Trinity, Brittany, Keyrra, and Lilly Sandstrom, Trinadee, Willow, Marci, and Zira Redmon, and Gracelyn and Noah Redmon; and one great-grandchild, Levi Redmon. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Sara; sons, Adam Redmon Sr. and Eric Owens; and sister, Linda Uptegrove.
Friends will be received on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. A funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with burial immediately following at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
