Cimarron - Thelma Ann Davis, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 18, 2025 at the Shepherd's Center in Cimarron. She was born on February 4, 1935 at Holly, Colorado the daughter of Erich and Matilda Katherine (Kopper) Guhr.
Thelma grew up in Dighton and was a graduate of Dighton High School. She then attended Ft. Hays State University. On March 8, 1953 she married Donald L. Davis in Dighton. Thelma had a very strong Christian faith and enjoyed spending time in her garden and tending to her flowers. She was an inspiration to her family and many others.
Thelma is survived by her three children, Rodger Davis and wife Glenda of Cimarron, Dee Ann Courtney of Cimarron, and Carol Davis of Cimarron; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald L. Davis; son, Gary Lee Davis; two brothers, Donald Guhr and Harold Guhr; and two sisters, Evelyn Drees and Viola Sharp.
Private family service will be held at the Gray County 4-H Building on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 with Mr. Andy Kuehn and Mr. Marcus Resco presiding. Burial will follow at Dighton Cemetery in Dighton. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Cimarron on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00PM with the family receiving friends. Memorials are suggested to The Shepherd's Center or Gray County over 50 Center both in care of the funeral home. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.

Thelma, was an amazing lady, she was kindest person I ever meet. We had a lot of talks at the old nursing home when I cared for Don. You could always catch her sitting outside, as Thelma would say , a good source of vitamin D.
You will be missed.
