Theodore Gerstel Obituary

Born in Mannheim Germany, to Walter and Erna (née Simon) Gerstel, he resided there for 2 years, before immigrating to the United States in 1937, and finally settling down in Monroe Township 25 years ago.
Theodore was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Prior to retiring, he owned and operated Walter's Fine Clothes for 40 years.
In his spare time, he enjoyed photography, coin collection, and sports. He was an avid New York Mets and New York Jets fan.
Theodore is predeceased by his parents, Walter and Erna Gerstel.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Barbara (née Fleischaker) Gerstel of Monroe Township; his two sons, Jeffrey Gerstel, Lawrence Gerstel and his wife, Kristi; and his five grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at 2:15 pm, at Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ, under the direction of MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, East Brunswick. For directions, please view our "Events" listed below.
