Theodore Norman "Ted" Hubach, 80, of Mayetta, KS, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at his home. He was born August 18, 1944 in Falls City, NE, the son of Theodore J. and Lena (Griebat) Hubach. Ted graduated from Denison High School in 1962. He worked for Goodyear Tire Company as a tire builder for over 37 years, retiring in 2002. He was also a lifelong farmer and stockman. He was a proud member of the United Steelworkers Local 307. Ted married Elaine M. Marshall on April 8, 1967 in Keosauqua, IA. She preceded him in death on September 10, 2017; after 50 years of marriage. Survivors include 2 daughters, Diana Kern (Adam) of Meriden, KS and Audrey Howard (Peter Sr.) of Boxford, MA; 2 sisters, Anita Ray of Dighton, KS and Marilyn Haynes of Stone Mountain, GA; 2 brothers, Donald Hubach (Carol) of Topeka, KS and Robert "Bob" Hubach (Delores) of Lawrence, KS; 4 grandchildren, Jeremy Kern (Lauren), Tana Harmon (Cody), Peter Howard and Andy Howard and 7 great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Brodie, Jacie, Josie, Jessie, Beau and Charlotte. Celebration of Life will be from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Memorials may be given to the Phoenix Hospice c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
