Theodore A. "Ted" LaBaire

Theodore A. LaBaire, age 85, of Ansonia, entered into rest on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. He was the beloved husband of the late Shirley (Arsenault) LaBaire. Theodore was born in Worcester, MA on March 14, 1939, son of the late Theodore A. and Sarah LaBaire, and he lived in Ansonia for over 30 years.
He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps. Theodore was a truck driver for Cotrell Truck Lines until his retirement. He enjoyed collecting coins and playing solitaire.
He is the beloved father of Dawn Mattei and her husband Dave, Craig LaBaire, Joe LaBaire and his wife Dawn, and Chris LaBaire and his wife Lisa and leaves fifteen cherished grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Ann Antidormi and Alice Swanson and her husband John. Theodore was predeceased by a son, Scott LaBaire, two sisters, June Delia and Joyce Beardsley and his companion Mary Gerry.
Friends may greet the family at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby, on Wednesday from 10 to 11 AM. His funeral service will begin in the parlor at 11 AM. Burial, with full military honors, will immediately follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Stratford.
