I have very fond memories of Ted. He loved to bowl and I was asked to keep score for their league which had a hand railing set up . After Ted first shot I would tell him which pins he had left and he would shoot the spare .As I recall Ted had the highest average in the league of 136. Not bad . I remember he also threw the ball harder or faster than anyone with eyesight or without. Ted was a true gentleman and for years afterwards I would see him and his dog get on the bus on the northwest side of Rockford for his job of piano tuning R.I.P. Mr Maggio. Your friend forever. Ted was a cousin of my father and I remember him at so many family gatherings over the years as well as him tuning my piano. I was always in awe of how he and Ellie coped with their limitations. I have been thinking of him so much in the last few months. My memories of him will live on in my heart. My sympathies are with his family and friends.

I remember Mr. Maggio from way back in 1970. He used to come into Ken's Market on Fulton Street with his dog. I was a sophomore in high school at the time and worked at the store. He was a very nice man. My condolences to his family. Steve Verace, Elkhart, Indiana.
