Theodore “Ted” Helmes passed away Monday, December 25, 2023, he was 74.

Beloved father of Jennifer Helmes, Kevin (Rachel), Tim (Jamie), Mike (Melissa) and Erin Thoma (Vince).  

Loving Grandfather of Maximus and Vivian Wash, Emma, Noah, Mason and Grace Helmes, Caleb, Reid and Mya Helmes, Lyla and Charlie Helmes, and Sophia, Liliana and Dominic Thoma.  

Stepfather to Stacy Hahn and Shannon Hahn (Dave Mebius). 

Step Grandfather to Derek Hahn.

Former husband of Nancy Helmes (nee Berling) and the late Linda Helmes.

Cherished brother of William (Jan), Robert (Judy), Kathleen Robben (Harry) and the late Anthony (Carmella). Enjoyed by many nieces and nephews. 

Ted retired from the Kroger Co. He was a loving family man. Ted never knew a stranger and was always fun to be with.  He will be greatly missed by friends and family.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation Friday December 29th from 9AM until time of Mass at 11AM, all at St. Joseph North Bend Catholic Church.  He will be laid to rest at New St. Joseph Cemetery and a celebration of his life/reception will follow at the Helmes Family Farm: 8893 Jordan Road Cleves, Ohio 45002.
