In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Terrell "J.T." Nixon; her daughter, Nelda Nixon Dillon; her sister, Sara Frances Otwell; and her brothers, Harold McGukin and John McGukin.
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Smith; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Center Point Cemetery with Rev. Michael Williams officiating. Cameron Medina, Jacob Smith, Beau Nixon, Clay Lovvorn, Hunter Nixon, Sam Lovvorn, Cade Nixon, and Landon Smith will serve as pallbearers.
Interment will follow at Center Point Cemetery.
