Theresa Alfonso

Theresa Alfonso, age 93, of West Nyack passed away peacefully at home on November 16th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 23, 1932, in New York, N.Y. she was the devoted daughter of the late Thomas and Bridget Henry.
Theresa was a remarkable woman who dedicated her life to her family. She married the love of her life, and late husband, Julian Alfonso, in 1955, and together they raised five wonderful children: Theresa's greatest joy came from her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a nurturing soul who cherished every moment spent with her family, often hosting holiday gatherings that became treasured traditions.
As a grandmother, she took immense pride in her thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Theresa's warmth and kindness were felt by everyone who knew her, and her legacy of love will carry on through her family.
Theresa is survived by her five children, Thomas,Theresa (Thomas), Patricia, Christopher (Simra), Joseph (Veronica), and her her thirteen grandchildren, her thirteen great-grandchildren, and her beloved sister, Patricia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian, her brother, William and sisters, Vera, Mary, and Eleanor.
A viewing will be held at Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home in West Nyack on Sunday November 23rd, from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 24th at 10:00am at St. Anthony's Parish Church Nanuet, NY with a reception to follow.
