Theresa D'Amico, age 96, passed away January 23, 2025, at the Forum at Knightsbridge in Columbus, Oh. She was born March
13,1928, in Cleveland, Oh. to Armand Roberto and Antoinette (Dantone) Roberto.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 62 years Rudolph A. D'Amico, and brother Armand (Ruth) Roberto. She is survived by her son Lawrence (Barbara) D'Amico and daughters Roberta D'Amico and Christine (David) Johns as well as grandchildren James D'Amico, Steve D'Amico, Andrew (Elaina) Johns, Alexandra (Ryan) Brady, Kelly D'Amico and great grandchildren Grayson Johns, Deacon Johns, Lennon Johns and Emerson Johns.
Theresa went to Cleveland Heights High School where she made many lifelong friends. She continued on with those friends and graduated from Case Western Reserve University where she was a member of Gamma Delta Tau sorority. She earned a degree in elementary education, met and married Rudy and taught second grade.
Theresa was her daughters' Girl Scout Leader and often the cookie chairman. She was active in PTA in the Kettering, OH school system as her children grew up and with the Oak Creek Swim Club. She enjoyed attending her childrens' many sporting events. She was an avid Twig member donating to Children's Hospital and was a proud volunteer for Kettering Hospital for 30 years.
Theresa was an accomplished seamstress and knitter making her own and her children's stylish clothing. Theresa loved her children, her home, her roses, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Spending time at her beach home on Estero Island near Fort Myers Beach, FL brought her great joy. She loved her friends and the Ohio State Buckeyes often displaying a big Brutus in her front yard on game days.
Donations can be made to Dayton Children's Hospital. A Celebration of Her Wonderful Life will be this summer in Columbus Ohio for immediate family as she requested.
