January 30, 1928 - May 12, 2025
Theresa (Fontaine) Dylengoski, age 97, of Salem, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard F. Dylengoski.
A lifelong resident of Salem, Theresa was born to the late Joseph and Roseanna (Dube) Fontaine. She dedicated over 25 years of her life as a beloved tour guide at the historic House of the Seven Gables, sharing her knowledge and passion for Salem's history with countless visitors.
Theresa will be remembered for her warmth, hospitality, and exceptional talents in the kitchen. She loved to cook and bake, often bringing her family and friends together with her delicious meals and gracious spirit.
She is survived by her children: Michael Dylengoski and his wife Elizabeth of Salem, MA; Dianne McWade of Clearwater, FL and her late husband Brian McWade; and Joan Skomurski and her partner Karl Schwiegershausen of Portsmouth, RI. Theresa was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter: Joseph Skomurski and his wife Lauren, and their daughter Raegan; Matthew Skomurski; Adam Skomurski and his wife Kelly; Michelle McWade and her husband Jeff Kiesel; Michael McWade; David Dylengoski and his wife Rachel Rioles; and Mark Dylengoski and his fiancée Tayla MacEachern.
She also leaves behind her sister, Louise Kennedy of St. Augustine, FL. Theresa was predeceased by her brothers, Arthur and Wilfred Fontaine; and her son, Robert Dylengoski.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Theresa's memory on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Ste. Anne Church, Jefferson Avenue, Salem. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
