Theresa Ann Kachmar of Hingham, MA - With heavy hearts and deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Theresa, who left us on October 1st at the age of 60.
The daughter of Leo J Mahoney, Jr. and Evelyn C Mahoney (Gibbs). Theresa was born in Quincy MA on March 12, 1965. Theresa grew up in Hingham and was a graduate of Hingham High School, Aquinas College, and Boston College. She went onto a career that included 13 years with the Massachusetts Attorney General's office, followed by 27 years at Boston College Law School. Theresa is remembered by her colleagues as a generous and caring professional.
Theresa's life centered around her family to which she was fully devoted. She possessed a quiet strength that was beautifully balanced by her sharp wit and warm sense of humor. Loving sister to Kathleen Bogan of Duxbury, MA; Michael Mahoney (Susan) of Cary, NC; Mary Carlucci (Michael) of Plymouth, MA; and Patrick Mahoney of Hingham, MA. Theresa was deeply devoted to her nieces and nephews Jason, Kelliann, Leanne, James, Josh, Sarah, and five great nieces and nine great nephews, all of whom she loved to the moon and stars. We will continue to draw from her kindness, love, and support while aspiring to emulate Theresa's legacy.
Theresa's services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Theresa's name can be made to Matthew 25, at https://www.matt25.org/get-involved/ or by mail to Matthew 25, Inc. 52 Queen Street Worcester, MA 01610-1437
