Theresa Marie Oswald

Theresa Marie Oswald, age 84, of Adrian, MI, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital, in Adrian, MI. She was born on September 22, 1941, in Katymar, Hungary, the daughter of Joseph and Susan (Bartolme) Krix. She was joined in marriage with Nathanael Oswald in Blissfield, MI.
Theresa earned an LPN degree and worked primarily at Bixby Hospital in Adrian, MI, before her retirement to care for her loving grandchildren. She attended New Life Ministries in Adrian and loved her church family.
Theresa was a natural performer whose love of music filled every room she entered. Whether singing or playing her organ, she shared her talents with a warmth and confidence that made her unforgettable. It was not unusual to find her performing on her portable keyboard at the Adrian and Madison Farmer's Markets. You could often hear her showcasing her skills on the piano in the keyboard section of the Adrian Walmart. She also had a passion for painting that rivaled the works of Bob Ross, with the ability to paint masterpieces in mere hours.
Theresa is survived by her son, Michael Oswald of Adrian, MI; three grandchildren, Sydney (Joshua) Schroeder, Ian (Mercedes) Lorichon, and Kaitlin Lorichon; one great-grandchild, Audrey Avila; her siblings, RoseMarie Lipp of Fort Wayne, IN, and John (Kelli) Krix of Maricopa, AZ. In addition to her husband, Nathanael, and her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her daughter, Natalie Lorichon.
At her request, cremation has taken place. The family is planning a Celebration of Life at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Clinton Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes.
