Theresa Thomas Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 20, 2025.
Theresa Sharon Cahill Thomas passed away at the age of 93 on August 16, 2025, at her home in Cumming, Georgia. She was reunited with her husband, Terry Lew Thomas, and one of her four daughters, Teresa Leigh Thomas. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 PM on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Sexton Hall Enrichment Center, located at 2115 Chloe Rd, Cumming, Georgia.

Mrs. Thomas was born on November 29, 1931, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She attended St. Agnes Academy and Butler University, where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority and participated in the Marching Band's Color Guard. She married Terry L. Thomas on June 11, 1955, and together they raised four beautiful daughters.

Sharon was a talented ballerina and performed with Eileen Poston's class at the Jordan Conservatory of Music. She loved playing tennis and successfully competed locally well into her 80's.

Sharon was quick-witted, articulate, and deeply cherished her family and hobbies. She never met a stranger and will be sorely missed by many. She is survived by three of her daughters: Tanya Mcteer (Tom), Cheryl Hooker (Ed), and Cindy Griffeth (Dane); six grandchildren: Trina Pearce, Kasey Suggs, Amanda Barbee, Thomas Wheeler, Cahill Carusos, and Grant Griffeth; as well as seven great-grandchildren.

Yesterday

Sharon was like a second mom to me for several years as I was friends with Cheryl and lived down the street. I remember how she was witty, smart, funny, and a great role-model. She always amazed me that she knew about so many topics. I'm sure she loved life to the fullest and will leave a void in many hearts. Condolences to family and friends, may God comfort your heart ache. Rest in peace.
