Theresa Ann Troyer

Theresa Ann Troyer, age 44, of Orrville, formerly of Norfolk, VA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Aultman Orrville Hospital following a sudden illness.
Born on December 27, 1980, in San Diego, California, Theresa was the beloved daughter of Douglas R. and Nancy L. (Mussetter) McManes. She grew up in Norfolk, Virginia, and graduated from Lake Taylor High School in 1999. For the past 10 years Theresa shared her life with Brendan J. Troyer and on November 18, 2022, they were married in Louisville, Kentucky. He survives and cherishes her memory.
Theresa spent most of her professional career working within the aviation industry doing what she loved to do. Most recently, she brought her expertise to Orrvillon, where she served as a Quality Inspector for the past year and a half.
A woman of faith, Theresa was a member of New Creation Fellowship in Orrville. She found joy in simple pleasures - baking, playing marbles, hosting game nights, listening to music, and most of all, spending cherished moments with her family, especially her husband, Brendan.
Along with her husband, Theresa is survived by her parents, Douglas and Nancy McManes of Norfolk, VA; her brother, Robert (Jennifer Stine) McManes of Redding, PA; her mother-in-law, Laura Schmucker of Dalton; her father-in-law, Jonathan (Linda) Troyer of Uhrichsville; brothers-in-law, Arlin (Jenna) Troyer and Stephen (Amber-dec.) Byler, both of Orrville; 19 nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Tom and Caroline McManes; maternal grandparents, Larry and Marilyn Mussetter; uncles, Keith and Greg McManes; and sister-in-law, Amber Rose Byler.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday at New Creation Fellowship, 14366 Church Road, Orrville, with Pastor Ken Wengerd officiating. The service will also be live-streamed at the New Creation Fellowship YouTube Channel.
