Therese "Terri" L. Daniels, age 68, of
Tomahawk, WI, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, due to complications of dementia and under the care of the wonderful staff at Friendly Village Nursing Home in
Rhinelander, WI. Born on April 7, 1957, to the late Leroy and Gloria (Marcouiller) Daniels, Terri lived a life marked by compassion, creativity, and a deep commitment to caring for others.
Terri began her long and dedicated nursing career in the early 1980s after studying at Nicolet College and Northcentral Technical College. She first served at St. Mary's Hospital, working in alcohol and drug rehabilitation, where her empathy and strength made a profound difference in the lives of those she cared for. Her passion for helping others led her to Minnesota, where she worked at Hazelden Rehabilitation Center and the Chisago City Hospital, expanding her expertise and touching countless lives along the way.
In 2002, Tetri returned home to Tomahawk and continued her work at Golden Age Nursing Home. Through dedication and hard work, she grew in her profession and later served in roles across Golden Age Nursing Home, Riverview Nursing Home, and Rib Lake Nursing Home. She ultimately became Director of Nursing at Riverview Rehab, where her leadership, compassion, and professionalism were deeply respected. After stepping back from full-time nursing, she devoted herself to caring for her mother following her stroke; an act that reflected her boundless love and devotion to family.
Terri's life extended far beyond her career. She was a vibrant spirit, full of curiosity and creativity. She belonged to numerous crafting and scrapbooking clubs, including Rubber Stamp Madness, and took frequent classes at Nicolet to learn new art forms. She approached every hobby with enthusiasm and joy, always eager to share her knowledge with others.
A woman of deep spirituality, Terri sang in St. Mary's Choir with Fr. Brian and was an active member of a local Bible study group. She enjoyed morning water aerobics, participated in photography clubs, and frequently explored the beauty of nature. Bond Falls and Lake of the Clouds were among her favorite places to visit and photograph; spots where she felt peace, wonder, and connection.
Terri was a free spirit who loved to travel, explore, and learn. She was an amazing friend, a gifted teacher, and a source of inspiration to many. Her encouragement led others down meaningful paths including her niece, Andrea, who followed in her footsteps to become a respected nurse and caregiver in her own community.
Terri's legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched, the people she mentored, and the love she shared. She will be remembered for her kindness, her creativity, her faith, and her generous heart.
Survivors include her brother, Jim Daniels, of Raleigh, NC; her nieces, Crystal Daniels, of Raleigh, NC, and Andrea Daniels, of
Rhinelander, WI; and her cousin by birth, but more a sister, best friend, and caregiver, Marie Rell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Gloria; and her sister-in-law, Nancy Daniels.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 12:00 PM, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rev. Aloysius Royan Anthony will officiate. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 12:00 PM. Inurnment will be held at Calvary Cemetery in the spring.
