Theresita Marquez

Theresa Marquez, age 74, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister of Dixon, NM, passed away on November 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving wife and mother who cherished her grandkids and lived her life for her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Theresa was born on June 29, 1951, in Embudo, NM, and raised in Dixon, NM. Theresa began working in Colorado at a very young age, where she met her husband which she spent 55 years of her life with. Together they shared countless memories, laughter, and deep devotion for her family. Above all she did in her life, her love for her family and God were her priority.

She was preceded in death by her parents Felix and Emilia Maes, daughter Nancy Marquez, brother Belarmino Maes and Sisters; Clara Salazar and Minnie Maes.

She is survived by her husband Jose Marquez, children; Barbara Rendon (Frank), David Marquez (Janae; Karlo, Ondre), Yolanda Marquez, Jose Marquez, Jr (Danielle) and 4 grandchildren; Shanice Marquez, Brandon Rendon, Genesis Marquez and Hezekiah Marquez. She is also survived by her brother Clyde Maes (Amy), nephews and nieces; Cathy, Edna, Ben, Annette, Belarmino Jr, Judy, Caroline and Lorraine.

A Public Viewing will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 pm at Victory Faith Church in Espanola, NM. 

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 03, 2025, at 10:00 am at Victory Faith Church in Espanola, NM, with the internment to follow at Apostolic Cemetery in Apodaca, NM.

Pall Bearers are Shanice Marquez, Brandon Rendon, Shane Martinez, Isaiah Martinez, Annette Maes, and Judy Maes.

Honorary Pallbearers are Genesis Marquez, Hezekiah Marquez, and Carmella Gallegos.
